Award Winning

Lancashire's Number One Independent Preparatory School - The Sunday Times

We are very proud of Highfield Priory School and of our reputation as the top Independent Preparatory School in Lancashire and the North West of England.

Historically, Highfield was set up by the business men and women of Preston who wanted something more for their children: the very best education at an affordable price.

Highfield has its own brand of Elocution exams included within the fees for all Junior pupils. Year Five and Six pupils receive focused teaching for Entrance Exams and Interview preparation to enable them to access the Independent and Grammar Schools.

Private Education at an Affordable Price

Anyone with children will appreciate that they are expensive; that the demands for money are never-ending and that we all have a second career as a taxi-service. At Highfield we work hard to keep the high quality education that we provide as affordable as possible with everything under one roof, payable in manageable instalments.

Included in our fees:

  • All your child's lunches and school trips (with the exception of an optional Residential Trip in Year 6).
  • A wide variety of Activities including Football, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Rugby, Singing, Drama, Public Speaking, Gardening, Archaeology. These take place on site in our Performing Arts Studio, on our All-Weather Pitch, in our Sports Hall or in our own woodland area: Highfield Haven. They are either during the school day or after-school thereby reducing the number of car journeys you have to make.

Highfield Priory School added 5 new photos.

Year 4's history topic this term is Prehistoric Britain. They have been looking at what life was like for Palaeolithic people hundreds of thousands of years ago during the Stone Age. One of the clues left over from that time is the paintings found on the walls of caves. Having studied some, 4S decided to create some of their own. Fantastic 4S!
