We were using magnets to make coloured structures against the window in Nursery last week.

It was a lovely sunny day which created some beautiful patterns in the classroom! β˜€οΈ 😍

Class 6P paid a visit to the local retirement home, Bethany House, towards the end of last term.

Whilst there, they had a great time entertaining the residents with a variety of Christmas carols and songs as well as some of their original writing about the season.

All the children enjoyed their visit, especially when some of the residents joined in with the wonderful 'sing song' and also when they had the opportunity to chat and get to know the people living there.

One lady, who was born in Germany and had moved to England in the 1940s, was absolutely delighted when Alfie sang 'Silent Night' in German with her - it was so lovely to see both generations coming together to enjoy some very special moments.

We will visit Bethany House again this year and are already looking forward to continuing to develop our links in the community! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Photos from Highfield Priory School and Nursery's post
