Visit Highfield Priory School

Open Days

We hold open days at regular intervals during the academic year. These are occasions to be enjoyed by all the family; we try to make our open days as friendly and informal as possible. There are activities for the children to get involved in, and tours of the school are conducted by our very enthusiastic pupils. They love to show off their school and everything we have to offer. Open days provide an opportunity for prospective parents and pupils to visit the school, meet the staff and pupils and view the facilities and grounds. All members of staff are available to discuss your child's education.

Personal Tours

In addition to our open days we encourage you to have an individual visit to the school, on a school day, which will enable you to observe the school at work. These can be arranged at a time to suit you and are usually conducted by the headmaster. To book an appointment please contact the school office.

Pupil Taster Days

After a tour of the school, we invite all children wishing to join Highfield Priory to spend a day at the school with their contemporaries. This allows them to meet their new friends and experience life at Highfield Priory for themselves. The taster day will include an assessment as well as lessons from the Highfield curriculum. For early years enquiries, the child is invited to two introduction sessions to help them settle into the early years before they start. Our taster days also enable staff to become acquainted with pupils prior to admission to the school.

Admissions - Text 1

Admissions

Following the taster day, the school will be in touch to arrange a start date. The youngest children are accepted into the school from two years old- children in nursery must attend a minimum of two days. Children may be accepted into the school at any age after this, if places are available.

Registration and Fees

Once the above process is complete, parents who choose Highfield for their children are asked to complete the Application Form. After an offer has been made, parents can register their child and non-refundable registration fee is payable. For Preschool and School, a £400 registration fee is payable (£350 credited when your child leaves the School, providing the correct notice is given) and for Nursery £250 is payable (£200 credited when your child leaves the Nursery, providing the correct notice is given). A place is only secured when the school receives the acceptance document, signed by both Parents (or Guardian), together with the registration fee. A comprehensive fee structure is given on a separate page- it can be viewed on the link below.

How To Find Us

Our postcode is PR2 5RW.

The school is very easy to get to from the M6 motorway at Junction 31a. You cannot leave the motorway travelling south or get back on travelling north. However other junctions are near.

From the M6 travelling North leave at Junction 31a.

Option 1

From the slip road take the 2nd exit onto Fulwood Row and park in the small car park close to the driveway entrance and walk up into the school grounds.

Option 2

From the slip road take the first exit, then at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit. You will go over the motorway bridge toward a mini round about and then turn right onto Gamull Lane, then bear right on the bend (the junction with Gamull Lane and Watling Street Road). We had so much fun in Nursery during November and wanted to share some video highlights here. 🎥

A wide range of activities, both inside the classroom and in Forest School, kept us entertained and engaged! We now can't wait to see what 2025 has in store... 🤩 😀
