Farewell to the Class of 2026
As our Year 6 pupils prepare to leave Highfield Priory for secondary school, we would like to wish them every success for the future. This year’s Year 6 leave with many happy memories of their time at Highfield Priory, with many stating Manor Adventure and the school plays as highlights. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved during their time with us and we know they will go on to embrace the exciting opportunities ahead. Keep in touch, hopefully we’ll see you soon! You are officially Highfield Priory Alumni… as of Wednesday.
Good luck class of 2026!
Summer Spectacular
Our Summer Fayre has been rebranded and revitalised into the Summer Spectacular and was held after school on Friday 12th June. It was a very successful event with the vast majority of pupils and parents staying after school to enjoy the range of activities and stalls organised by the PTA. The Summer Spectacular is a very important community event that brings the whole school together, as well as raising funds for the HPPTA. It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with our alumni who were able to attend the fayre. We look forward to welcoming more of our past pupils to future events.

Get Involved
We would love to hear from as many members of our alumni as possible and find out what you have been up to in the years since you left Highfield Priory. If you are unsure what to share, a general life update will always be welcome, along with any achievements and interesting experiences. If you’d like to share an update, there is an alumni form on the Alumni website page (see link below), or you can post them in the Alumni Facebook group. Your update will be featured in our next Alumni Newsletter (unless specified otherwise) and we would like the option of placing your news on our Facebook Alumni page or even the walls of the school for all our pupils and staff to enjoy.

Instead of giving us an update, you might prefer to share a story or recount a particular memory for the Memories of Highfield Priory section of the next Alumni Newsletter. We hope we can get people from different year groups telling their story which may bring back memories for other people or teach you something new. If you would like to do this, please contact us at alumni@highfieldpriory.co.uk.
Individual Updates
James Hill – Class of 2013
Everyone at Highfield Priory is incredibly proud to congratulate former pupil James Hill and AFC Bournemouth on qualifying for the Europa League for the first time in the club’s history!
This season has been a breakthrough year for James, making 28 Premier League appearances and contributing 3 assists. Since returning to the starting XI in December, he has become a key part of Bournemouth’s defence, helping the club through a remarkable unbeaten run on their way to Europe. From Highfield Priory to the Europa League!
Lucy Beresford-Peirse (Hargreaves) – Class of 2011
In March 2024, Lucy married her university flatmate and they now live together with their two cats. Lucy has just finished writing her first children’s book- Princess Lucy and the Dinosaur Day. The book is based on a bedtime story her dad used to tell her when she was young. Hopefully more details and a link to purchase the book will follow in the next Alumni Newsletter.
Bomi – Class of 2020
Bomi is attending Harrow School and did well in his GCSEs last year. He has just finished Lower 6 going to Upper 6 in September. This year he is Head of House (Grove House – where he lives) and a monitor (wearing a monitor’s top hat and cane), Captain of the Volleyball Team, Captain of the Robotics Team and Captain of the Judo Team. He also won the Gold medal at the Independent School’s Judo Tournament- he is the National Champion for his weight class. At the British Schools Judo Championship, he came 5th (conceding due to injury). He now has a very busy year ahead! Good luck, Bomi!
Shomi – Class of 2025
Shomi has settled in well at Bolton, participating in the Rugby, Swim, Waterpolo and Athletics Teams throughout the year. He also did well academically, receiving letters from the school praising his academic performance, and he was the recipient of the Form Tutor Award for recognition of Academic Achievement and the Frank Brown Prize (awarded for outstanding Academic and Extra-Curricular activities).
Hannah Field – Class of 2016
Hannah was part of the Lancashire Cup Final which saw Longridge Hockey Club 2nd Team come out on top against a determined Fylde 4s side. In an end-to-end match, Hannah’s Longridge team scored a last minute goal to win 3-2.
Vihaan – Class of 2025
Vihaan has settled well at Lancaster Royal Grammar School and is enjoying the bus ride everyday. He has been selected in the cricket A team at Lancaster, playing matches against other schools. He fondly recalls the support, encouragement and motivation Highfield Priory provided during his early days in cricket.
Vihaan was one of the 54 participants who successfully recited few songs from the eighteen renowned ancient Tamil literary works, Pathinenkeelkanakku, demonstrating exceptional dedication in preserving and promoting the richness of the Tamil language and its classical heritage across borders. The Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR) proudly recognizes this outstanding accomplishment as the first of its kind in the United Kingdom & European region, marking a significant milestone in the global celebration of Tamil literature.
